Chosen Institution

CHOSEN INSTITUTION

 

We have decided to use Jerry Bruckheimer Films as the institution for our film opening because although the films that they have produced and distributed are more crime thrillers, we want our opening to be more than a typical thriller. It will have gore and other conventions that a crime thriller would have, such as mystery. Jerry Bruckheimer has also produced the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise which are extremely popular however represents another genre that the chosen film distributor produces. Another reason for choosing this film institution is due to the fact that it is so successful and we would like to think that our film could have the potential to be as popular if produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Furthermore, part of my institution research has been to watch the introduction that represents the institution and it has contributed greatly to our decision of which institution to pick. The atmosphere of the introduction fits in with how we want our film opening to be, it is dark and eerie.
