Studio Introduction Clip

For the beginning of our media film opening, I wanted to include a short promotional clip of our "film institution". this would be played after our chosen institution played. There was no integral media reasoning to this, it was just an aesthetic I wanted to include.
To begin, I took a image of a horse shoe into Photoshop and changed the colouration from black to white. I then overlaid western-style text of our production name "Lucky Studios" over the top of the original image. I saved all of these components individually, and in separate layers in order to create my own animation effect in Final Cut Pro.



I installed all the components into Final Cut, and created a blank space on the timeline before our video. After sourcing a western jingle on YouTube that was royalty free, I compiled all the images and sounds, so that the names and horseshoe punch onto the screen. For stylistic effect, I added gunshot sounds that go off as the text appears. Overall, I was quite happy with the outcome and I thought it proved to look quite professional.
